Our railway security guards have a system of monitoring everyone who enters the site by keeping staff and visitor logs. PTS is a mandatory requirement for our guards to work on any railway sites.
Level 2 Award in Door Supervision: To work in the private security industry individuals must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
Benefit: A license in Door Supervision allows for an individual to work in the industry, so all operatives are properly trained and qualified.
Personal Track Safety (PTS): We train all staff in the importance of track safety whilst working as a security officer in the railway environment.
Some of our work may bring us on or within the line. In the case of an incident, our security officers are aware of issues such as what distances need to be maintained from the line and hazards that may put themselves and others at risk.
Access control: Controlling who comes in out of your site with thorough searches, looking for any illegal substances or weapons.
Benefit: monitoring what comes in as well as going out. Because visitors can bring in equipment that can help them steal from site.
Patrolling: Routinely patrolling the premises, inspecting for any breaches in security, intruders and those within the site doing illegal activities
Benefit: A clearly visible deterrent for criminals and troublemakers. Additional radios with earpieces for easier communication presence making you feel safe and to deter criminals.
Real Time Reporting: Using computer tablets to monitor staff also giving incident and accident reports to be submitted online.
Benefit: Real time reports making all incidents being reported instantly online via e-mail making sure you are always updated.
Uniform: entails full orange PPE uniform, which is hardhat and safety boots making our operatives protected and clearly visible for others to see for their own safety.
Benefit: Operatives are abiding to the rules of the railway being dressed in all oranges and is easily visible.
Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work: Our staffs are trained to resuscitate and aid individuals with minor or serious injuries
Benefit: The benefit is assistance until the emergency services arrive for individuals with serious injuries and resuscitation.
Induction: Guards can perform inductions to those that are new to a site location. Giving them the right knowledge to allow visitors to go on site and roam safely.
Benefit: We can ensure that before anyone enters the site they are fully aware off the hazards they may face and the best practices on conducting themselves.
Supervising Contractor: All visitors, employees, building contractors, cleaners and deliveries report to our security officer.
We manage the overall coordination of contractors on site. Maintaining an intimate knowledge of who is doing what activity and where at any one time.
Knowledge of local amenities: Knowledge of the local hospital and police station.
Benefit: In case of emergencies the security guard will know where exactly the nearest hospital and police station.
